Creating a KICK account is the first step to watching streams, joining chat, subscribing to your favourite Streamers, and eventually streaming yourself if you choose to. The whole process takes just a few minutes.
This guide walks you through signing up, verifying your account, and getting set up so you can start using KICK.
Do I need an account to use KICK?
You can browse KICK and watch most public streams without an account. However, you will need an account to:
Send messages in chat
Follow your favourite Streamers
Subscribe to channels and gift subscriptions
Create clips
Use Channel Points, Predictions, KICKs, and Gifts
Customise your profile
Eventually start your own stream
Creating an account is free and only takes a couple of minutes.
Step 1: Sign up
To create your KICK account:
Go to kick.com
Click Sign up in the top right corner
Enter your email address, choose a username, and create a password
Confirm your date of birth
Click Sign up
💡 Your username is how other Viewers, Chatters, and Streamers will see you on KICK. Choose something you are happy to be known by, since changing your username later may have limits.
Choosing a strong password
A strong password is your first line of defence against anyone trying to access your account. We recommend:
At least 12 characters
A mix of letters, numbers, and symbols
Something not used on any other website
Avoiding personal information like your name, birthday, or simple words
Saving your password in a password manager is a great way to keep it secure without having to memorise it.
Step 2: Verify your email
After signing up, KICK will send a verification email to the address you provided. Open the email and click the link to verify your account.
If you do not see the email within a few minutes:
Check your spam or junk folder
Search your inbox for "KICK"
Add KICK's email domain to your safe senders list and request a new verification email
You may not be able to use all KICK features until your email is verified.
Step 3: Set up your profile
Once your email is verified, take a moment to set up your profile:
Click your avatar in the top right
Go to your account settings
Add a profile picture
Add an "About" section if you want
Connect any social media accounts you want to share

Step 4: Enable Two-Factor Authentication
Two-Factor Authentication, or 2FA, adds a second layer of protection to your account. Even if someone gets your password, they cannot log in without your verification code.

💡 Enabling 2FA is also a requirement if you ever decide to monetise as a Streamer, so setting it up early saves you a step later.
Step 5: Start exploring
You are ready to use KICK. Some things to try first:
Browse categories to find Streamers in your areas of interest
Follow your favourite Streamers so you do not miss when they go live

Age requirements
KICK is available to users aged 13 and over, or the age of digital consent in your country if it is higher. If you are under 18, you may only use KICK with the supervision and consent of a parent or legal guardian, who agrees to our Terms of Service on your behalf.

I am having trouble signing up
If you cannot complete the signup process:
Email already in use: You may already have a KICK account with that email. Try logging in or resetting your password
Username already taken: Try a variation, add numbers, or pick something different
Verification email not arriving: Check your spam folder, then request a new verification email
CAPTCHA failing: Try refreshing the page or switching browsers
