Managing your Viewer profile and privacy settings on KICK

Your KICK profile is how you appear to other Viewers, Chatters, and Streamers. Whether you want to add a profile picture, control who can interact with you, or fine-tune your privacy settings, this guide walks you through everything.

KICK gives you control over what others can see and how they can interact with you. Taking a few minutes to set things up the way you want makes the platform more enjoyable.

Updating your profile

Your profile is the first thing people see when they click your username. To customise it:

  1. Click your avatar in the top right corner

  2. Go to your account settings

  3. Open the profile section

From here, you can update:

  • Profile picture: A small image that appears next to your username

  • Display name: What other users see when you appear in chat or on a channel

  • About section: A short bio where you can share a little about yourself

  • Connected social media: Links to your social profiles, if you want to share them

For a more detailed walkthrough, see How to Update Your Profile.

💡 Think carefully about what you share publicly. Information on your profile is visible to anyone on KICK, including people you do not know.

Privacy settings

KICK gives you control over who can interact with you and how. To find your privacy settings:

  1. Open your account settings

  2. Look for the privacy section

Common privacy options include:

  • Notification preferences: Manage which alerts you receive

  • Mature content settings: Decide whether you want to see 18+ streams

Adjust these to whatever feels right for you. You can change them at any time.

Choosing what to share

A few good habits to protect your privacy on KICK:

  • Avoid using your real name as your username unless you are comfortable with it being public

  • Be careful what you put in your About section. Anything you write can be seen by anyone

  • Do not share your full name, address, phone number, or other personal details on your profile

  • Use a profile picture that does not reveal your location or identity if you want to stay anonymous

If you ever decide to start streaming, these habits become even more important. See Streamer Safety Tips: How to Stream Safely on KICK for more.

Connecting your KICK account to other services

KICK lets you connect your account to certain external services, like the official KICK Discord. When you connect, you give the service permission to access basic information about your account.

Be careful about which services you connect, and only authorise those you trust. To review or remove existing connections:

  1. Open your account settings

  2. Find the connections or authorised apps section

  3. Remove any service you no longer want connected

💡 If you ever see a connection you do not recognise, remove it immediately and change your password. This could be a sign that someone has accessed your account.

Email and account settings

You can update your email address, change your password, or manage Two-Factor Authentication from your account settings.

For specific guides:

Hiding your activity

If you want to control what others can see about your activity:

  • Subscriber status: Whether your subscriptions are visible can usually be controlled in identity chat settings

  • Activity history: Most viewing activity stays private to you, but some interactions (like Cheering or sending Gifts) may be visible publicly

Check your privacy settings to see what options are available.

What happens if you delete your account?

If you ever decide you no longer want a KICK account, you can request account deletion. This permanently removes:

  • Your profile and personal information

  • Your following list

  • Your messages, clips, and other content

  • Your subscription history

Before deleting, consider:

  • Cancel any active subscriptions

  • Download any clips or content you want to keep

  • If you are a Streamer with a payout balance, withdraw it first

For details on the deletion process, contact our Support Team.
