Account Safety at Kick
Account Safety at Kick
Updated this week

Whether you’re a streamer or a lurker, Kick values keeping users safe. This extends to keeping your Kick account safe and sound. Following the tips below will help keep your account safe so you can keep enjoying streams.

1. Strong Password

  • A strong password is the first line of defence against account hackers. Choose a long password with a mixture of uppercase letters, lowercase letters, numbers and special characters that you don’t use for any other accounts.

  • You can use a password manager which can make creating strong passwords easy, and the password manager will store it for you.

2. Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)

  • Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) adds an extra layer of security to your account by requiring the use of an authenticator app, or SMS to your mobile phone after successfully entering your password.

  • You can find details of how to enable 2FA in our Safety Hub here.

3. Safe Account Practice

  • Never provide your account security details to anyone. Kick staff will never ask for your password.

  • Never click on links that look suspicious.

  • Report any accounts that ask for account information.
