Gifting a subscription is one of the most generous things you can do on KICK. You are not just supporting a Streamer financially, you are also giving another Viewer access to subscriber perks they might not have been able to get on their own.
This guide walks you through how to gift subs, how they work for both you and the recipient, and answers the most common questions.
What is a gifted subscription?
A gifted subscription is a sub you buy on someone else's behalf. Instead of subscribing yourself, you pay for someone else's subscription to a channel.
When you gift sub:
The Streamer gets the same revenue they would from any other subscription
The recipient gets all the subscriber perks (badges, Emotes, sub-only chat access, ad-free viewing where applicable)
You get recognition in chat as the gifter
It is a win for everyone: the Streamer earns, the recipient gets perks, and you get to spread some good vibes.
How to gift sub to a specific Viewer
If there is a particular Chatter you want to gift sub to:
Visit the Streamer's channel page
Click the Subscribe button
Click on Gift sub option
Search for the username of the person you want to gift to
Select them and confirm
Complete payment
The recipient will be notified that they have received a gifted sub from you.
💡 You can only gift to users who do not currently have an active subscription to that channel. If they are already subscribed, you cannot gift them another sub for the same channel.
How to gift random subs to the community
You can also gift subs to random Viewers in a channel rather than choosing a specific person. This is a popular way to spread the love across the entire community.
Visit the Streamer's channel page
Click Subscribe
Click on gift subs to the community
Select how many subs you want to gift
Complete payment
KICK will randomly distribute the gifted subs to Viewers who are currently in the channel and not already subscribed.
Subscription tiers
If the Streamer offers more than one subscription tier, you can choose which tier to gift. Higher tiers cost more but give the recipient more perks.

How long does a gifted sub last?
Gifted subs typically last for one month. Once that month ends, the sub does not renew automatically. If you want to keep gifting, you will need to gift another sub.
Do gifted subs count toward my Affiliate or Partner status?
This question is more relevant for Streamers, but worth answering: yes, gifted subs to a channel count the same as any other subscription. They contribute to the Streamer's subscriber count and toward eligibility for the KICK Partner Program.
Can I see how many subs I have gifted?
Yes. Your gifting history is usually visible in your account or subscription settings. Some Streamers also have leaderboards or shoutouts for top gifters in their community.
Can I cancel or refund a gifted sub?
Once you have gifted a sub and the recipient has received it, refunds are limited. If you have made a mistake (gifted the wrong person, gifted to the wrong channel, or you were charged in error), contact our Subscriptions Team as soon as possible at [email protected].

Gifting etiquette
Some quick guidelines that will keep gifting feeling positive:
Do not pressure others to gift back. Gifting should be generous, not transactional
Do not use gifting to harass or grief. Gifting should make the recipient happy. Using it as part of a harassment campaign is against our Community Guidelines
Be aware of fraud. Never use someone else's payment method to gift subs. This is fraud and we take it seriously
I am having trouble gifting
Common issues and fixes:
Payment failed: See Payment failed or card declined on KICK for troubleshooting
Cannot find the user: Double-check the spelling of their username. Usernames on KICK are exact
Recipient already subscribed: You cannot gift to someone who is already subscribed to that channel
Channel does not have subs enabled: The Streamer needs to be a KICK Affiliate or Partner with subscriptions enabled
