Cancelling a subscription and our refund policy

Whether you are stepping away from a channel for a while or simply changing your subscriptions, this guide walks you through how to unsubscribe from a channel on KICK and what to expect from our refund policy.

How to unsubscribe from a channel

To cancel an active subscription:

  1. Log in to your KICK account

  2. Go to your account settings

  3. Open the Subscriptions section

  4. Find the channel you want to unsubscribe from

  5. Click Unsubscribe and confirm

⚠️ If the subscriptions were purchased through Google/Apple Pay, they should make sure the subscription is cancelled in the Google Play app/Apple Subscriptions as well, to avoid any potential future charges and ensure the subscription is fully cancelled.

When you unsubscribe, the cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You will continue to be a subscriber and keep your perks until that period ends.

💡 Unsubscribing does not immediately end your subscription. You keep your subscriber perks, including badges, Emotes, and access to sub-only features, until the end of the period you have already paid for.

What happens when I unsubscribe

When you unsubscribe:

  • Your subscription stays active until the end of the current billing period

  • You keep all subscriber perks during that time

  • Auto-renewal is turned off, so you will not be charged again

  • After your current period ends, you lose subscriber perks for that channel

⚠️ Once you unsubscribe, the subscription cannot be reactivated to resume automatically. If you want to subscribe again later, you will need to start a new subscription.

How to manage all my subscriptions

To see and manage all your active subscriptions in one place:

  1. Log in to your KICK account

  2. Go to your account settings

  3. Open the subscriptions section

From here, you can see what you are subscribed to, when each subscription renews, and unsubscribe from any channel you no longer want to support.

How to update your payment method

KICK does not currently support changing the payment method on an active subscription. To use a different card or payment method:

  1. Unsubscribe from the channel using the steps above. Your perks will continue until the end of your current billing period

  2. Once your billing period ends, remove the old payment method from your account settings

  3. Add the new payment method

  4. Subscribe to the channel again with the new payment method

⚠️ Adding a new card does not automatically restart cancelled subscriptions. If you want to keep supporting the same channel, you will need to subscribe again.

💡 If you only need to update the card for future renewals (not change the card on the current subscription), you can also wait for the current billing period to end and then add the new card before the renewal.

Our refund policy

KICK's standard policy is that all purchases are final and non-refundable, except where a refund is required by applicable law. This applies to subscriptions, KICKs, Gifts, and other digital content.

This policy is set out in our Terms of Service.

However, there are situations where you may still be entitled to a refund:

  • Required by law: Some regions (such as the EU and parts of Australia) have consumer protection laws that may give you statutory refund rights regardless of our standard policy

  • Duplicate charges: If you were charged twice for the same subscription

  • Charged after cancellation: If you cancelled before a renewal but were still charged

  • Unauthorised purchase: If a subscription was purchased from your account without your permission

  • Technical error: If a payment was processed but the subscription never activated

If any of these apply to you, contact our Subscriptions Team as soon as possible.

💡 Disputed amounts must be raised with us in writing within 30 days of the payment, as set out in our Terms of Service. Failing to raise a dispute within this window may waive your claim relating to that payment.

How to request a refund

To request a refund:

  1. Include the following details:

    • Your KICK username

    • The Streamer's channel you subscribed to

    • The date and amount of the transaction

    • The last four digits of the card used

    • A clear description of why you are requesting a refund

Our Subscriptions Team will review your request and get back to you. Most refund requests are reviewed within a few business days.

How long do refunds take?

If your refund is approved, the time it takes to appear back in your account depends on your bank or card provider. Typical timelines are:

  • Credit cards: 5 to 10 business days

  • Debit cards: up to 10 business days

  • Other payment methods: varies by provider

If it has been more than 10 business days since your refund was approved and you still do not see it, contact your bank first. They can confirm whether the refund has been received.

Gifted subscriptions, KICKs, and Gifts

For gifted subs, KICKs, and Gifts, refund options are very limited because the recipient has already received the digital content or perks. Once KICKs are used to activate a Gift, those KICKs are not returned.

For more on how digital content works on KICK, see our Terms of Service and Guide to KICKs and Gifts.

Disputed charges and chargebacks

If you do not recognise a charge from KICK on your card statement, please contact us first at [email protected] before filing a chargeback with your bank. Most "unrecognised" charges turn out to be subscriptions you forgot about, family members on the same account, or a billing description you did not recognise. Our team can usually clear these up quickly.

If you do file a chargeback before contacting us, your KICK account may be suspended while we investigate. This is to protect Streamers and the platform from fraudulent disputes.
