Your Following calendar brings together the upcoming streams from every channel you follow, all in one spot. Instead of hopping between channels to check each one's schedule, you get a single view of who's live now, who's starting soon and what's coming up, so it's super easy to plan what to watch.
The Following calendar is rolling out on web and mobile web first. It's not on the mobile app just yet.
Where it's available
Viewing and filtering your Following calendar: desktop and mobile web
Opening your Following calendar
Go to Following in the left menu. On mobile web, tap Following in the bottom navigation.
2. Select the Schedule streams tab.
3. Browse the scheduled streams from the channels you follow. They're grouped by day (like Today, Tomorrow, then dates such as Wed Sep 23) and ordered by start time.
4. Scroll down to see more days, which load automatically as you go. On mobile web, swipe sideways within a day to see all of that day's streams.
Each stream card shows you the stream title, thumbnail, start time, duration and channel name.
Viewing streams from earlier today
On the Upcoming streams tab, tap the left arrow on the Today row.
You'll see the streams that started or ended earlier today.
Streams that already ended are greyed out. If a replay is available, select the stream and tap Watch VOD.
Watching a live stream from the calendar
Look for a stream with the Live tag.
Select the stream card to expand it.
Tap Watch now to jump into the live stream, or tap the share icon to share it with someone.
Filtering your calendar
On the Upcoming streams tab, go to Filter & sort by at the top right.
Channels: open the dropdown to see the channels you follow that have scheduled streams. Tick or untick channels to show or hide them, use the search box to find a channel, or tap Clear to reset your selection.
Status: choose All (the default), Live or Offline.
Your calendar updates to show only the streams that match.
Understanding stream states
State | What it means |
Starting soon | Shown on a stream from 10 minutes before its scheduled start time until 30 minutes after. |
Scheduled | An upcoming stream that hasn't started yet. |
Live | The stream is live right now. You'll see a Live tag and a Watch now button. |
Passed | Shown for streams from earlier today, either because the stream went live and has now ended, or because the streamer didn't go live within 30 minutes of the scheduled start time. The card is greyed out. Watch VOD only shows up if the stream went live and the replay is still available. |
Empty | None of the channels you follow has scheduled streams. You'll see "Stay tuned, no streams scheduled yet" with a See who's live button. |
If a streamer cancels or deletes a stream, it's removed from your Following calendar right away and won't show in any state.
Saving a stream to your personal calendar
Want a reminder before a stream starts? Save it to your Google or Apple Calendar and use that calendar's own notifications.
1. Select a scheduled stream card on your Following calendar to expand it.
2. Select Save to Google Calendar or Save to Apple Calendar.
3. For a recurring series, choose whether to save just this one stream or the whole series.
4. The saved entry includes the stream title, creator name, the date and time in your local time zone, and a link back to the creator's channel.
5. Set a reminder in Google or Apple Calendar so you get a heads-up before the stream starts.
Good to know: If the streamer changes or deletes the stream after you've saved it, your Google or Apple Calendar won't update on its own. You'll need to delete the old entry and save it again.
FAQ
Can I see streams from yesterday or earlier? No. Your Following calendar starts at Today. To see earlier streams, head to the creator's channel and open the Schedule tab.
Why isn't there a Watch VOD button on a stream that ended? Watch VOD only appears if the replay is still available. If the creator deleted the VOD, or never actually went live, the button won't show.
The streamer is live, so why doesn't the calendar show Live? The Live tag only appears from the scheduled start time. If the streamer goes live early, the stream shows as Starting soon until the scheduled time arrives. If they miss their scheduled stream by more than 30 minutes, it shows as Passed. And if they're streaming without a scheduled stream, it won't appear on the calendar at all.
Why isn't a channel I follow in the Channels filter? The Channels filter only lists followed channels that have scheduled streams. Followed channels with nothing scheduled won't appear.
Can I see scheduled streams from channels I don't follow? Not on your Following calendar. Head to that creator's channel and open the Schedule tab, or follow the channel to add its streams to your Following calendar.
Will I get notified when a scheduled stream is about to start? Save the stream to your Google or Apple Calendar and use that calendar's reminders.
Will I be notified if a streamer changes or cancels a stream? No. Edits and cancellations show on your Following calendar straight away, but followers aren't notified.
I saved a stream to my calendar, but the time changed. Why didn't my calendar update? Saved Google or Apple Calendar entries don't update automatically. Just delete the old entry and save it again.
What time zone are the stream times shown in? Your local time zone.
