Web Go Live lets you start a livestream directly from the KICK website without using streaming software. With built-in scenes, widgets, browser-based camera and microphone controls, and animated shoutouts, you can start streaming in just a few clicks.
Starting a Web Go Live Stream
Visit your KICK Creator Dashboard
Click the Go Live button to launch the Web Go Live experience.
If this is your first time using Web Go Live, you'll be guided through a short onboarding process before accessing your streaming dashboard.
Setting a title and category for your live stream
Clicking the pencil icon located at the bottom will show a panel enabling you to set:
Stream Title
Stream Category
Add/Remove Tags for your live stream
Stream Language
18+ Mature Audience Only
Camera and Microphone Permissions
To stream from your browser, you'll need to allow KICK access to your camera and microphone.
When prompted by your browser:
Click Allow for camera access.
Click Allow for microphone access.
Both permissions must be enabled before you can start your stream.
Scenes
Web Go Live includes several scene options that you can switch between while streaming.
Available scenes include:
Scene + Widget – Display your camera alongside on-screen widgets.
Starting Soon – Show a "Starting Soon" screen before your stream begins.
Back Soon – Display a temporary screen while you're away.
Custom Preset – Create and save your own scene layout for future streams.
To add a new scene, click the + icon at the top of the scenes area.
When adding a new scene, you can select:
Full Screen Camera
Side by Side Cameras
3 Column Cameras
Quad Cameras
Screenshare
Widgets
Widgets can be added directly to your stream and customised to fit your layout. These include
Camera (webcam, capture card)
Image (JPG, PNG, GIF)
Video
Screen (desktop/window screen share)
Chat Box
Alerts (Followers, Subscriptions, Gifted Subscriptions & KICKs)
To add a widget, click an option from the left hand side of the screen as numbered above.
With widgets you can:
Drag and reposition them anywhere on the canvas.
Resize widgets to fit your stream layout.
Additional Widget Controls
Each type of widget offers slightly different options which can be selected when your mouse hovers.
Camera (left to right)
Select the camera source
Show/Hide the camera source
Bring the camera to the front of the canvas
Send the camera to the back of the canvas
Delete Camera Source
Image (left to right)
Upload Image from your computer
Show/Hide the image source
Bring the image to the front of the canvas
Send the image to back of the canvas
Delete image source
Screenshare (left to right)
Select the Desktop / Window you want to share
Bring the screenshare to the front of the canvas
Send the screenshare to back of the canvas
Delete the screenshare
Chat (left to right)
Show/Hide the chat widget
Bring the chat widget to the front of the canvas
Send the chat widget to back of the canvas
Delete the chat widget
Snap to Edges (aligns the widget to specific edges of the screen)
Lock the position of the chat widget
Alerts (left to right)
Select which alerts you want to show on the widget
Show/Hide the alerts widget
Bring the alerts widget to the front of the canvas
Send the alerts widget to back of the canvas
Delete the alerts widget
Snap to Edges (aligns the widget to specific edges of the screen)
Audio Controls
Using the microphone icon located at the bottom of the scene you can select which audio source you wish to use for your stream.
You can:
Select your microphone.
Choose your speaker or audio output device.
Adjust audio levels.
Hide or show the Audio panel.
💡 You can enable/disable the sound source by clicking the microphone icon at the bottom of the screen.
Ready to Go Live
Once you've configured your stream, camera, audio, and stream details, you're ready to start broadcasting directly from your browser using Web Go Live by clicking the “Go Live” button at the bottom of the screen
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: When I click the “Go Live” button I receive an error message?
A: Please ensure you have set your stream title, category, language and rating by clicking the pencil icon.
Q: My stream does not have any sound?
A: Please ensure you have allowed access for KICK Go Live to access your microphone and desktop audio sources.
