How to stream on Kick using a GoPro camera

If you have a GoPro camera, you can use it to go live on Kick directly through the camera's own app, no extra encoder software needed. This is a great way to kick off your first IRL stream.

Before you start

You'll need:

  • A GoPro camera with the GoPro Quik app

  • Your Kick Stream URL and Stream Key

Find your Stream URL and Stream Key

  1. Log in to kick.com and go to your Creator Dashboard

  2. Navigate to Settings → Stream URL & Key

  3. Copy your Stream URL and Stream Key, keep these handy

Set up custom RTMP in GoPro Quik

  1. Open the GoPro Quik app and connect to your camera

  2. Tap Live and select Custom RTMP

  3. In the RTMP URL field, enter your details in this format:

stream_url/app/stream_key

For example:

rtmps://fa723fc1b171.global-contribute.live-video.net/app/sk_us-west-2_abcdeFGsHIjkLMnoPqRsTUVwxyZ

  1. Tap Go Live

Tips

  • Double-check there are no extra spaces when pasting your Stream URL or Stream Key

  • Your Stream Key is private, don't share it publicly

  • If the stream fails to connect, confirm your Stream URL and Stream Key are copied correctly from your Kick dashboard

Note: If GoPro releases a software update that changes the RTMP setup flow, this article will be updated to reflect the new steps.
