Advertising on KICK For Streamers

KICK has introduced video advertising in the Slots & Casino category. This article answers the most common questions from streamers about these ads.

What are these ads?

KICK now shows scheduled video ads within the Slots & Casino category. These are ads purchased by advertisers who buy placements on the platform.

Why is KICK adding ads to the Slots & Casino category?

Advertising is an important step in KICK's broader platform development. The revenue generated from ads directly funds the continuous growth, infrastructure stability, and feature updates that improve the experience for both streamers and viewers.

Where are these ads shown?

Right now, scheduled video ads are only shown in the Slots & Casino category. We have also begun rolling out streamer-triggered ads outside of Slots & Casino. This is currently in closed beta in selected markets and will roll out more widely over time. We'll always communicate any changes to our advertising approach through our official channels.

How long do the ads last?

Ad breaks in the Slots & Casino category run for 30 seconds. Most ads include a countdown timer in the corner notifying viewers of the time left.

How often will ads be shown?

Ad frequency in the Slots & Casino category depends on the scheduled advertising arrangements in place. We understand ad frequency matters to both viewers and streamers, and we're committed to keeping the viewing experience reasonable.

To give you further control KICK gas launched a defer ads feature, this will let you push the ad break back 1, 3, 5 minutes so your community wont miss any big moments.

Are the ads skippable?

Currently, the video ads shown in Slots & Casino livestreams are not skippable.

Do I get paid for ads in the Slots & Casino category?

No. The KICK Partner Program does not allow monetization in the Slots & Casino category, so running ads will not generate additional revenue for those streams. Any existing personal sponsorship deals or partnerships you have are separate and remain unaffected.

What if an ad plays over a key moment in the stream?

We have developed a feature that gives you the ability to temporarily defer ad breaks directly within the creator dashboard.

To access the feature simply visit your creator dashboard while streaming in the slots and casino category.

Will an ad be included in a clip I create if it plays during the clipping process?

No. Clipping captures content exclusively from the stream, not from the ad.

Why can't I control or delay the ads on my stream?

We understand that automated ad breaks can interrupt important moments for you and your community. KICK is actively developing an ad delay feature that will give streamers more control over when ads run during a livestream. We'll share updates on this soon, keep an eye on our official channels.

Can I opt out of having ads on my stream?

At this stage, streamers in the Slots & Casino category are not able to opt out of scheduled ads. Advertising in this category is part of KICK's platform-wide advertising rollout. Any existing personal sponsorship deals or partnerships you have remain unaffected.

Why are my subscribers seeing ads?

Subscriber perks are an important part of how streamers reward their community. We're actively collecting feedback on this and exploring ways to improve the ad experience for subscribers, and we'll share updates through our official channels when we can.
