If your KICK channel has been suspended or banned and you believe the decision should be reviewed, you can submit an appeal. This guide explains how the process works, what to include in your appeal, and what to expect.
KICK believes in working collaboratively with creators wherever possible. Appeals are a meaningful part of that — they give us a chance to review decisions, consider information we may have missed, and potentially adjust the outcome.
Before you appeal
Before submitting an appeal, take a moment to:
Read the suspension email carefully. Your suspension email explains why action was taken and which Community Guideline was breached
Review the Community Guidelines and the What gets you suspended article to understand the decision
Consider the full context of what happened, including any factors you may want to raise
Appeals work best when you engage with the specific reason for the suspension rather than disputing the system in general.
Where to send your appeal
All appeals should be sent to [email protected].
Appeals submitted through other channels (such as social media, support tickets to other addresses, or chat) cannot be processed.
What to include in your appeal
To help our team review your appeal effectively, include:
Your KICK Streamer username
The email address associated with your account
The date the suspension was applied (visible in your suspension email)
The reason given for the suspension
A clear explanation of why you believe the decision should be reviewed
Any context, evidence, or information that supports your case
Be specific. "I did nothing wrong" or "this is unfair" without details will be harder to act on than a clear explanation of what happened from your perspective and why you believe the decision should be reconsidered.
💡 Remain professional and respectful in your appeal. Aggressive or hostile tone does not help your case and may actually slow down review.
What appeals can achieve
When we review an appeal, possible outcomes include:
Suspension reduced — a shorter duration than originally applied
Suspension lifted — the suspension is removed entirely and your account is reactivated
Suspension upheld — after review, we conclude the original decision was correct
Modified terms — the suspension stays but specific restrictions are adjusted
We aim to make the right call on every review. This sometimes means upholding the original decision, but every appeal gets considered seriously.
What appeals cannot do
A few things to set expectations:
Appeals do not pause your suspension. Your suspension remains active while we review your appeal
Multiple appeals on the same decision will not change the outcome. If we have reviewed an appeal and the decision is upheld, sending the same appeal again will not result in a different review
Zero-tolerance violations are very rarely overturned. For violations involving minors, terrorism, or similar serious harm, the bar for reversal is extremely high
Appeals are not negotiations. They are reviews of whether the original decision was correct based on context
How long does an appeal take?
Most appeals are reviewed within a reasonable timeframe, but the exact duration depends on:
The complexity of the case
The volume of appeals being processed
Whether additional information is needed from you
If your appeal requires more information, our team will reach out by email. Make sure your account email is monitored during the review.
What happens after the decision
You will receive an email with the outcome of your appeal. The email will explain:
The decision (upheld, reduced, lifted, or modified)
The reasoning
What this means for your account going forward
If your suspension is lifted, your account will be reactivated. Your followers, subscribers, content, and earnings stay intact during a suspension and recovery — these are not affected by the appeals process.
If your appeal is upheld, the original suspension stands and remains your final outcome on that case.
Repeated violations and appeals
Your channel's suspension history affects how future moderation decisions are made. Even if a current suspension is reduced or lifted, repeat patterns of similar violations can lead to more severe enforcement next time.
The most reliable way to keep your account in good standing is to read the Community Guidelines, understand the boundaries, and stream within them.
Appealing on behalf of someone else
Appeals must be submitted by the account holder. If you are appealing on behalf of someone else (for example, an account managed by a team), include:
Your name and your relationship to the account holder
Authorisation from the account holder, if possible
A clear explanation of your role
We may still need to verify the appeal directly with the account holder before acting.
Account compromises and appeals
If your account was suspended because of activity you did not authorise (for example, your account was hacked and the attacker streamed content that violated the Guidelines), this is a separate situation from a standard appeal.
In this case:
Contact our Cyber Security Team at [email protected] immediately
Explain that the violating content was not from you
Provide as much detail as possible about when you lost access to your account
For more, see Account recovery.
