Notifications not arriving on KICK

If you are not getting notifications when your favourite Streamers go live, or you are missing important updates from KICK, this guide covers the most common causes and how to fix them.

Check your KICK notification settings first

Before changing anything on your device, check that notifications are enabled in your KICK settings:

  1. Log in to your KICK account

  2. Go to your account settings

  3. Open the notifications section

  4. Make sure live notifications, email notifications, or other types are enabled for the channels you care about

For more on setting up live notifications, see How to setup KICK Live Notifications.

💡 Following a channel and turning on notifications are two different actions. You can follow a channel without getting notified when the Streamer goes live. Make sure you have notifications turned on for any channel you want alerts from.

I am not getting browser notifications

Browser notifications appear as pop-ups on your computer when KICK has something to tell you. If you are not seeing them:

  1. Check that notifications are enabled for kick.com in your browser

  2. Make sure your operating system allows notifications from your browser

  3. Confirm you are not in Do Not Disturb or Focus mode

Chrome:

  1. Go to Settings > Privacy and security > Site Settings > Notifications

  2. Find kick.com in the list

  3. Set it to Allow

Firefox:

  1. Go to Settings > Privacy & Security

  2. Scroll to Permissions > Notifications

  3. Click Settings and confirm kick.com is allowed

Safari:

  1. Go to Safari > Settings > Websites > Notifications

  2. Find kick.com and set it to Allow

I am not getting mobile push notifications

If push notifications from the KICK app are not arriving:

On iPhone:

  1. Go to Settings > Notifications

  2. Find KICK in the list

  3. Make sure Allow Notifications is on

  4. Check that Sounds, Badges, and Banners are enabled if you want them

On Android:

  1. Go to Settings > Apps > KICK

  2. Tap Notifications

  3. Make sure notifications are turned on

  4. Check the individual notification categories

If notifications are enabled at the device level but you are still not getting them:

  • Force-quit and reopen the KICK app

  • Restart your device

  • Make sure you are signed in to your KICK account in the app

I am not getting email notifications from KICK

If KICK emails are not reaching your inbox:

  • Check your spam or junk folder

  • Search your inbox for "KICK"

  • Add KICK's email domain to your safe senders list

  • Confirm the email address on your KICK account is correct and that you have access to it

If you have changed your email address recently, make sure your KICK account is updated.

Why am I missing "going live" notifications?

There are a few reasons you might miss notifications when a Streamer goes live:

  • Notifications are turned off for that channel. Even if you follow them, you need to enable notifications specifically

  • The Streamer's notification settings. Some Streamers do not send a notification when they start a stream. This is the Streamer's choice

  • Your device is in Do Not Disturb mode. Notifications are silenced when this is on

  • Notifications are batched. If you follow many channels and several go live at once, KICK may group notifications to avoid overwhelming you

  • Connection issues. If your phone or browser was offline when the notification was sent, you may not receive it later

I am getting too many notifications

If your notifications are overwhelming, you have a few options:

  • Turn off notifications for channels you do not want alerts from

  • Disable specific notification types (live alerts, follower notifications, system updates)

  • Use Do Not Disturb on your device to silence notifications during certain hours

You stay in control of which notifications you receive.
