Clips are a great way to capture and share the best moments from a stream. If you are having trouble creating clips, finding the ones you have made, or managing them, this guide covers the most common issues.
I cannot create a clip on this stream
If the clip button is missing or greyed out, there are a few possible reasons:
Clipping is disabled on the channel. Streamers can choose to turn clipping off for their channel. If clipping is off, no Viewer can clip from that stream
You are not logged in. You need to be logged in to your KICK account to create clips
The stream just started. You may need to wait a short time after a stream begins before you can create clips
The Streamer is not currently live. You can usually only clip from a live stream, not from past content
If you are sure clipping should be available, try refreshing the page or restarting the app.
My clip is not saving
If you tried to create a clip but it does not appear after processing:
Refresh the page or restart the app
Check your clip library. Clips can take a few minutes to process and become available
Make sure you are looking at the right account (if you have multiple)
If the clip never appears, it may have failed during processing. Try clipping the same moment again if the stream is still live.
My clip looks different from what I tried to capture
Clips on KICK capture a fixed amount of stream time before and after the moment you clip. If your clip does not show exactly what you wanted:
The moment may have been just before or just after the clip window
The Streamer may have moved on to something else by the time the clip is processed
There may have been a brief stream interruption that affected what was recorded
In most cases, you can edit the clip after creating it to trim the part you want.
Where do I find my clips?
To find clips you have created:
Log in to your KICK account
Go to your profile or account section
Open your clips library
Streamers can also see clips made of their channel by:
Visiting their Streamer Dashboard
Going to the Clips section
Can I edit my clip after creating it?
Yes. After a clip is created, you can usually:
Trim the start and end points
Add or change the title
Delete the clip
To edit a clip, find it in your clip library and use the editing options provided.
Can I delete clips that other people made of my stream?
If someone has clipped a moment from your stream that you do not want public, you have a few options as the Streamer:
Delete the clip from your Streamer Dashboard
Disable clipping on your channel to prevent future clips
Report the clip if it violates our Community Guidelines
For more on managing clips and your channel, see the Viewer Controls & Streamer Controls article.
Reporting an inappropriate clip
If you come across a clip that breaks our Community Guidelines, you can report it. Reports go to our moderation team for review.
To report a clip:
Open the clip
Click the report or flag option
Select the reason for the report
Submit any additional details that would help our team
For more on what is and is not allowed, see our Community Guidelines.
Clip preview is not loading
If you can see a clip exists, but the preview will not play:
Refresh the page
Try a different browser or the KICK app
Clear your browser's cache and cookies
Check your internet connection
If clip previews are not loading anywhere on KICK, check the KICK System Status page.
