If you have lost access to your KICK account, whether through a forgotten email, a compromised account, or another issue, this guide walks you through what to do next.
Account recovery is one of the most important things our security team handles. We take it seriously because the work you have put into your channel, your community, and your earnings deserves to be protected.
My account was hacked: what to do right now
If you suspect someone has accessed your account without your permission, the first few minutes matter. Take these steps in order:
If you can still log in: Change your password immediately. See our guide on how to change your KICK password
Enable Two-Factor Authentication if you have not already. See how to enable Two-Factor Authentication
Review your account settings. Check your email address, payment information, and connected accounts. If anything has been changed, change it back
Contact our Cyber Security Team at [email protected] to request a sign-out of all devices. This is handled manually by our team to make sure your account stays secure during recovery
💡 If you cannot log in at all, skip to the "I cannot get into my account" section below.
I cannot get into my account
If your password is not working and you have not changed it, your account may have been compromised.
Try this first:
Go to the KICK login page and click Forgot password
Enter your email address
Check your inbox for a password reset email
If the password reset email arrives, follow the instructions to set a new password. Once you are back in, follow the steps in "My account was hacked" above.
If the password reset email does not arrive, check the email address on file. Someone may have changed it.
My email address was changed
If someone has changed the email on your account, you will not receive password reset emails. This is one of the most common signs of a compromised account.
In this case, contact our Cyber Security Team at [email protected] immediately. We will need to verify your identity before we can restore access. Be ready to provide:
Your KICK Streamer username
The email address that used to be on your account
The approximate date you created your account
Past payment information, if applicable (the last four digits of a card you used, recent transaction dates)
Any other information that proves you are the account owner
The more information you can provide, the faster we can verify and recover your account.
I lost access to my email
If you cannot access the email address on your KICK account because of a forgotten password to your email provider or a closed account, you will need to either recover that email through your provider or contact our Cyber Security Team for help.
We strongly recommend recovering your email first if possible, since this is the fastest path back into your KICK account.
If your email is permanently lost, contact [email protected] with the same information listed above.
Will I lose my followers, subscribers, or earnings during recovery?
No. When we recover your account, your followers, subscriptions, channel content, and any earnings stay intact. Recovery is about restoring your access, not rebuilding your account.
If your account was compromised and the attacker made changes (for example, withdrawing earnings or changing payout details), we will investigate and work with you to resolve those issues.
How long does account recovery take?
Standard recovery requests are typically resolved within a few business days, but the timeline depends on:
How quickly you can provide identity verification
The complexity of the case (a hacked account with multiple changes takes longer than a forgotten password)
Volume of recovery requests at the time
💡 Once you regain access, we strongly recommend enabling Two-Factor Authentication and saving your backup codes in a password manager. Most account compromises happen to accounts without 2FA.
Preventing future compromise
After you recover your account, take a few minutes to harden your security:
Use a unique, strong password (12+ characters, mixing letters, numbers, and symbols)
Enable Two-Factor Authentication and save your backup codes
Never share your password or stream key with anyone
Be cautious of phishing emails that look like they are from KICK. We will never ask for your password by email
Use trusted devices and avoid logging in on public computers
For more, see Account Safety at KICK.
Still need help?
If you have worked through the steps above and still cannot recover your account, contact our Cyber Security Team at [email protected]. Please include:
Your KICK Streamer username
The email address on your account
A clear description of what happened
Any proof of ownership you can provide
💡 For your security, we may not be able to recover your access if we cannot verify that you are the account owner. This protects you from anyone trying to take over your account.
