Digital Services Act (DSA) Information Guide

Introduction

Kick Streaming (“Kick”) is committed to complying with the European Union’s Digital Services Act (DSA), which establishes rules for transparency, accountability and user protection on online platforms. Kick is a live streaming platform that connects creators and communities globally, including in the European Union.

DSA Status

Kick currently has under 45 million average monthly active users in the EU.

As such, Kick is not designated as a Very Large Online Platform (VLOP) and is subject to the DSA’s standard intermediary and hosting service obligations.

Key Commitments

Transparency: Kick publishes a Transparency Report covering content moderation, government requests and appeals.

User Rights: Users can report content, appeal moderation decisions and contact Kick through designated channels.

Content Moderation: Kick uses a combination of human moderators and automated systems to enforce its Community Guidelines.

Authority Cooperation: Kick responds promptly to lawful EU authority requests regarding illegal content.

User Support: Clear points of contact exist for both users and regulators.

Filing and Appealing Reports

If you are an EU resident, you can report suspected illegal content by contacting [email protected].

If you believe an enforcement against your account was issued incorrectly or that your content was removed in error, you may file an appeal by contacting [email protected].

Once we have made a decision on your appeal, we will send you an email informing you of our decision. If you wish to contest our decision further, you may be able to utilize other legal methods for seeking redress, including the out-of-court dispute settlement process established by the DSA. To access this settlement process, you must first contact a certified out-of-court dispute settlement body. The European Commission publishes and updates a list of certified out-of-court dispute settlement bodies.
