Emote Guide

At Kick, we are committed to fostering a vibrant, inclusive environment for creators and viewers. Emotes are a key form of self expression and community engagement, however, with this privilege comes the responsibility to ensure content aligns with our community values. To maintain a positive experience for all, we have established the following guidelines for emote content and usage.

Our Commitment to Safety

Kick is a creator led platform that values creativity while prioritizing a safe and respectful community space. While we encourage freedom of expression, it must never justify hate speech. To protect our community, all emotes must comply with our Community Guidelines. Failure to adhere can harm individuals, disrupt communities, and compromise the integrity of the platform.

Expectations of Emote Creation and use

Creators are fully responsible for ensuring all emotes created by themselves and their community moderators adhere with our Community Guidelines. Specifically, Community Guideline 11.

Offensive Emotes: Do not create and/or use emotes containing illegal or inappropriate words or imagery.

The following types of content violate our Community Guidelines and are strictly prohibited:

  • Hate Speech and extreme violence: Emotes that are designed to incite harm or promote hate.

  • Sexual or explicit imagery

  • Illegal content: Emotes that endorse or promote illegal activities

Respect for Intellectual Property

Creators must hold the necessary rights and permissions for all emote content. Unauthorized use of another persons intellectual property, brand or likeness is prohibited and may result in legal action or takedown requests. Kick reserves the right to remove such content at its discretion.

Examples of prohibited content without explicit authorization include:

  • Assets or materials from other Kick creators or channels

  • Artwork, photographs, designs created by others

  • Names, logos, or identifying marks of individuals or organizations

  • The likeness of another person such as celebrities or public figures

  • Content from other media sources

Enforcement Actions

To uphold these standards our moderation team will take the following actions if necessary:

  • Immediate Removal: Non-compliant emotes will be promptly removed.

  • Account Disciplinary Measures: Repeated or severe violations may result in warnings, channel restrictions, suspensions or bans.

How You Can Contribute

We encourage all creators to help maintain Kicks community standards by:

  • Regularly reviewing their emotes for compliance with these guidelines

  • Reporting emotes or content that may violate our policies
